ACWR's dinner train leaurely rolls down the Sandhills Sub in Pinehurst NC on a beautiful evening on this first day of spring, 3/20/25.   103 brings up the markers as the train rolls timetable north (compass northwest).   271 has the honors leading the train.  Earlier in the afternoon, 103 is seen peeking around the bushes and buildings along the north leg of the ACWR wye in downtown Aberdeen, shortly after a brief spring thunderstorm had rolled through.   Aberdeen features two wyes - less than a 1/2 mile behind me on the other side of the CSX main is the Aberdeen and Rockfish wye that surrounds their engine house.

Very cool! Love the wye photo. Looks like someone maintains the clearence tolerance on that evergreen.

If it dares push out a little far with new growth it gets trimmed by the passing trains.
