Author: chilli The BNSF intermodal Operation with the TP&W at Remington Indiana will be closing before the first of Novermber. Traffic will be trucked to other locations on BNSF hubs. BNSF will still run in and out of East Peoria from / to Galesburg.

Author: JET One major customer, Isuzu, is pulling out of assembling SUVs at Subaru-Isuzu Automotive (now Subaru of Indiana Automotive) in Lafayette, IN at the end of the '04 model year. This may have played in some of the decision making.

I don't know much about the lift, and didn't realize it was run with BNSF. How much of the TPW's traffic will the closing impact? Also, any insights on why it is closing? Was TPW's service not good?
