Wabash Cabooses in Trainsit
Author: wabash2800

I copied this from the WRRHS Group at Yahoo

The two Wabash coupola cabooses that had been at Lamberts Point in
Norfolk, VA, were spotted WB on the NS today at Collier yard about
15:30, destination unknown. At least one of the cars was lettered as
Lamberts Point on the side. According to Bowers N&W Cabooses, they
are class C-18, and should be 562777 and 562799.

Anyone know where they are headed?

Don't know if it's the same cabs, but 2 of them came through Knoxville loaded on a TTX flat enroute to a scap yard in Harriman TN. 11.03.03. They left Knoxville on #163 to Chattanooga, then to Harriman.

Willobi,
To a scrapyard in Harriman you say? Would that be the scrapyard that you can see to the North of the Highway 27 bridge that crosses the Emory River? The one that is at the end of the old Harriman and Northeastern "beltway" of track around Harriman? Would they be there now (11/5)?

BTW, I am from Oak Ridge and my Little girl and I spend some time running the old K&O from Oliver Springs to Emory Gap. The parking lot at Emory Gap is a great place to have lunch....

Are you from around here? You can email me at drew.mcculloch@cpspet.com

Later....
