Alternative Transportation Radio
Author: DE30AC

I was appalled by the obsession the media has with automobiles.
So I am now buying airtime on shortwave to host my own show
"The Alternative Transportation Show".
The show was originally going to be an infomercial for the custom bikes I build,
But future shows will include TRAINS!! Whoopee!

The show will be on 9330 kHz Sunday night/afternoon depending on your time zone.
6:30 to 7:00 EST
January 25 will be the premier broadcast.

Which station is this? Some of the US stations put a monster signal into my area, while others are hard to hear.

Hopefully that frequency is not too far out of the standard broadcast band so that owners of some of the cheaper portables can hear it.

9330 kHz
or 9.330 MHz if you divide by 1000 and substitute mega for kilo.

The station is WBCQ
located in Montecello , Maine USA.
It is an international shortwave station with it's antenna aimed (or beaming) towards Mexico City.
It is a 50,000 watt transmitter. 9330 is what's called "AM compatible sideband", That means it has enough carrier signal for any shortwave radio to pick up, but it will come in even better if your radio has SSB, or Single SideBand.
