Sounds like CP is rerouting some trains from Northern Ontario to Southern Ontario, and the Michigan Route. CP train 105 was in Windsor about midnight and was sitting in Windsor till about 4 or 5 am, and there was some issues with the SPU, and it was a flashing one, but for some reason its not supposed to cross.

These trains may operate via Toledo and Garrett also due to crew shortages.

Please let us know if this activity continues. Today looks to be an awful day for railfanning, weatherwise, even if I didn't have to work. But Sunday has the promise of sunshine and extra traffic would make the CP corridor extra attractive.

Farmer makes a good point. There's a good chance some of these trains will run via Toledo and Garrett, as CSX is unlikely to have enough Detroit-Grand Rapids-Chicago crews to handle much extra traffic.
