L&N GP40 Question

Did any of the L&N GP40's receive family lines paint?

Absolutely. L&N repainted a lot of their equipment into the Family Lines scheme, whereas SCL repainted almost nothing. I did a quick search of the net for CSX GP40's that were former L&N, and came up with this shot of 6805, which would be former L&N 3009:

The above site is very helpful for finding shots of all types of CSX units, even stuff that's been off the roster for some time.

I have shots saved on my harddrive of 3005, 3009 and 3019 in Family Lines paint.
All 3 look like standard paint, with small L&N initials and number that fit under
the yellow/red ribbons on the side of the cab.

At least 12 made it to CSX in Family Lines paint according to the CSX archives site.
