Author: antlorch About 3 years ago I sent a letter to Model Railroader for Eric asking him the exact same questions except about his SD50's and they forwarded it to him,he sent a letter to me and this is what he said.. Eric numbers his units with the first two digits being the approximate horsepower and the last two digits being 1-49 for 4 axle engines and 50-99 for 6 axle engines.I am using 3555 for my UB SD50,and at that time the 3558 was the only other number not used. For decals Eric uses Champ Private Name series of decals "O" scale Utah and Belt but they have a 20 pair minimum order.MicroScale makes a white Railroad Roman alphabet & number set that would work.MicroScale 8" black barricade stripes number 91152.The paint is Floquil Reefer Yellow on the ends and 50/50 SP lark Dark Gray ans UP Harbor Mist Gray. That's what he told me back in 2005,hope that helps you.

He works a part time gig at Mark Twain Hobby shop in St. Charles, MO, besides being an art teacher. He does NOT have an email address (current as of about 2 months ago), so I am not sure how he could sell on eBay, unless its through someone else. I could forward something to him in writing next time I head up to the shop...
