Model Railroading > Tampa Northern owner, down, not outDate: 04/08/26 12:09 Tampa Northern owner, down, not out Author: SALGUY Guys, I'm going to be out of the loop for a bit, due to a rather significant health issue. Well, that is if you consider triple bypass surgery significant! I think most would agree, it's significant.
I'll post updates as I move through this journey. This is not going to be fun. It will be interesting. So, please keep me in your prayers, thats all I ask! Denis Blake Date: 04/08/26 13:33 Re: Tampa Northern owner, down, not out Author: jcaestecker Prayers it is. God bless and speedy recovery.
-John Date: 04/08/26 13:41 Re: Tampa Northern owner, down, not out Author: Lighter Keep us posted.
Date: 04/08/26 15:22 Re: Tampa Northern owner, down, not out Author: E25 The good news is that the procedure, while not a "picnic," is usually experienced without serious consequences and will likely add many years to your life expectancy. Best wishes to you and your family.

Bob Date: 04/08/26 20:14 Re: Tampa Northern owner, down, not out Author: railstiesballast I had an aortic valve replacement in '24. You should meet some of the best people on the planet who have our lives in their hands.
I am back to about 80% but I probably made my last hike on irregular terrain to get a certain photo angle but can still install decoders and run a pin vise and air brush. We all enjoy your shared adventures, keep us posted as you can. Date: 04/09/26 07:43 Re: Tampa Northern owner, down, not out Author: JUTower Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Date: 04/09/26 09:07 Re: Tampa Northern owner, down, not out Author: a737flyer I certainly concur that while there'll be a short rough sledding' moment, the medical people are so capable of handingbyou back you life that that short period will be just that...short. I would, as further evidence relate my own experience. Recent discovery of a tiny spot on my never-smoked lung proved a small cancer. I had to interrupt my presumed funeral planning to schedule treatment. A good friend, who is a doctor then told me that this whole thing will be like a haircut...5 radiation treatments and zap, gone. Surprised at the diagnosis and astonished at the quick potential dispatch of the problem. So with all that...your treatment will be absolutely successful and your life will resume in short order. Blessing to you.
