How to model electrical box on SF U36C's ?
Author: wfre

Is there a part available for the electrical box on the fireman's side behind the cab of the SF 8736-8799 electrical box ?

Was wondering whether the capacitor starter box in DW269 detail kit for the AC4400 would be suitable.

Any help appreciated (I don't even have a good closeup to use for a scratch-build).

Walt,
No one makes the three door box like the ATSF u36c's and espee's late U33c's had. Jimmy Booth at Hi Tech did the Regular two door and the two door with a vent . You can splice two regular two doors together and get what you are looking for.It is a new part so it might not be in stores but you can order it right off his site.

Here's a picture that might help a little (it's a 200% enlargement, so it isn't the best quality).
