Model Railroading > The Future of Cannon & CompanyDate: 12/11/06 06:29 The Future of Cannon & Company Author: dh30973 With last Octobers untimely passing of Gordon Cannon, many wondered what would become of the company. I am pleased to announce that it has been settled. I have bought the company and will move it from Aptos to Trabuco Canyon this week. My intent is to rebuild the inventory and eliminate the out of stock situation as quickly as I can. Im not a toolmaker, so at least for now I cant promise new products, but well see what the future brings, so bear with me. Gordon left behind a great legacy for the finest quality products that are the standard of the industry that Ill do my best to uphold.
One of the changes I will be making is the creation of a web page with descriptions and photos of all the parts and prototype information with the longer term plan to make direct ordering easier. I was just eyeing a cab yesterday with the sole intent of stealing the side window panes for a caboose project, but I couldn't do it, thinking that I might not be able to get a new cab in the future. Thanks Dave!

A big THANK YOU to Dave for stepping up and pulling off this big time business move to keep Gordon's superb diesel parts legacy intact for the tens of thousands of kitbashers, and diesel modelers across the world. It will take a lot of personal free time to get things moving after the one week move, but I'm sure you will get thank you from many of us who have come to count on Cannon & Co parts for EVERY project. Let me know if you will be needing some help on the logisitcs move or anything that can help production re-runs or future releases.... -Ryan aka "espeeboy" on the ex-WP Oakland Sub MP11.2 Date: 12/11/06 14:00 Re: The Future of Cannon & Company Author: BNSFCSX Awesome news Dave, and unexpected Christmas present for us all.
