Model Railroading > laser level for track alignment hintDate: 10/07/07 19:44 laser level for track alignment hint Author: kcjonz Hi. Just wondered if anyone else has used their "Strait Line" brand of laser level for track alignment ? I found that if you rest the level on your existing track , line up the laser on two existing nail holes , you can shoot a indefinite length line and lay perfectly straight track. Just thought I'd pass it along for what it's worth.

I have a rotating laser level I used for another home project, but until I read this post, I never considered it as a layout tool! I am now a AARP montly flyer recipient and suffer from CRS (Can't Remember Stuff).
