Model Railroading > DCC IR QuestionDate: 01/04/08 13:38 DCC IR Question Author: stivmac I just got a D-Trax IR receiver. Its one of those that looks like one of their Loconet connectors. I've got the UT4 throttle. I got it wired up, but MAN is it tough to get it to pick up a signal. How far back or up close should the operator be? I know it's line of sight, but even standing directly in front, it seems to be REAL slow picking up a signal, if at all. I did not wire in the track leads, is this necessary? The thing works fine with the throttle plugged in.
