Model Railroading > Undec Athearn RTR SD50Date: 02/13/08 19:44 Undec Athearn RTR SD50 Author: kecarden Since Athearn has a habit of gluing even the undec parts together, what product out there can I use to unglued the body parts so I can paint it?

the undec BL-2's...duuhhhh... Date: 02/13/08 21:53 Re: Undec Athearn RTR SD50 Author: MrMRL Try using Testors plastic cement, and an X-acto chisel tip at the seam. It will soften the bond allowing you to pop the parts free.
Mr. MRL - werked fer me. Date: 02/14/08 06:12 Re: Undec Athearn RTR SD50 Author: keysubdiv All of my undec SD50`s ans 60`s came with no windows installed at all. The decorated versions have flush window pieces that press in from the front and are easily popped out from behind. The rtr SD40`s have inserts from the inside which are glued in and are a pain to get out.. the cab on those is a modified RPP CAB.
