Model Railroading > Population explosionDate: 03/10/09 12:44 Population explosion Author: santafedan After about 15, years I finally got around to populating the station at Sharon Springs. I experimented with "Glue Stick" glue to hold them down. It worked great. I used a tooth pick to place a small amount of glue on the feet bottoms. It is fairly sticky and in only seconds they stayed where and how I put them.

Only Sharon Springs so far but, the signs are printed so it shouldn't be long now. I have a May 2nd deadline. The RR is on a tour. We all know what that means.

We'll have to give that a try at the Golden Gate Model RR club in San Francisco. We have these nuns that keep falling over. I always assumed that they were hitting the sacramental wine. Would this be a good way to make intermodal trailers stay put on flat cars without making them permanent attachments? Date: 03/10/09 14:16 Re: Population explosion Author: WrongWayMurphy What? A warbonnet F and no foamers?
Date: 03/10/09 14:44 Re: Population explosion Author: santafedan The Glue Stick glue can be washed out of clothing. I will eventually want to move some "folks" and I believe it will be easy.

I am on my way to our club meeting so I will post a photo of them later. Date: 03/10/09 19:57 Re: Population explosion Author: fjc Those the ones that hang out infront of the adult book store? :)

Date: 03/11/09 08:16 Re: Population explosion Author: trakmous I've used Elmer's glue stick and one day I tacked a photo to my computer hutch. Months later I wanted to remove it pulled off some of the finish. I have some figures using it, but plan to change to Woodland Scenics accent glue. It says it allows repositioning. Somehow I have two of them so I will try it next. Guess I should try it on the hutch first. :-(

The glue stick worked in seconds and the accent glue took longer to "take." Date: 03/11/09 11:59 Re: Population explosion Author: mstokinger fjc Wrote:
