Changing couplers on a Stewart F3

Can someone tell me how to change out couplers on this diesel so I can put Kadee,s on it. Help is appreciated. Thanks

I think you can use Kadee part # 470 not sure on the number but it made for the Stewart F's for close coupling and etc.

Yes, Kadee has a special close coupler set-up especially for the Stewart F units. I used it on my F-7's when I still had Stewarts. IIRC, it pops right in without any modification.

Yes, it is the Kadee 470, and it is a straight forward replacement.
They look VERY good too.

I had heard that Stewart/Bowser had moved away from the frames & motors that I had purchased, the ones that were apparently from Kato. Any info on their recent frames?
The Kadee adapter is/was perfect, locks in place just right. Allows tighter coupling between units.

I wasn't aware of a frame change--just the drives.
