Model Railroading > Golden Spike Tower ConstructionDate: 01/29/10 03:00 Golden Spike Tower Construction Author: rugbytown A few photos of my North Platte Golden Spike Tower under construction. Far from finished.
http://rugbysusmodels.fotopic.net/c1808899.html I'm building myself a second one and this one will end up on display in the tower itself!! Cheers Rugby Date: 01/29/10 06:45 Re: Golden Spike Tower Construction Author: sandmanre Nice job. Did you work off of an actual drawing with dimensions, or is it guessing. Either way, looks great. Are those LEGOs? Looks like a great idea for getting the angles and support.

The bricks are 'Megablocs', a cheap version of Lego. I've got the idea to use them from an article in MR. All done from photos. I had a drawing but it was out of scale and had no dimensions. I've also build Eastfield TMD in the UK. See here http://eastfieldtmd.fotopic.net/c1645828.html |
