Not Model Railroading, But still Impressive Modeling
Author: NGotwalt

I was sent this link in an email today, I was half way through the slide show before I realized I was looking at pictures of models.

Enjoy!

I am so amazed that models could look that realistic. The depth of the photography and the use of actual landscape for the back drop really enhances the illusion. Excellent.

Wow...a real time machine. Outstanding! There is a coal train (1:1 scale) passing by in the background of one of the shots.

Very nice models, but the streets are unrealistically clean (as are the cars!), which is the giveaway that this is fiction....

Everyone must be inside watching the World Series (in the daytime shots) and Uncle Miltie at night. Or it's that Twilight Zone episode...

Like the set for a street scene on the Twilight Zone?

Pretty amazing models, though.

Dave, that's what I thought, too. The streets almost shine. No litter or dirt or leaves, etc., in the gutters at all. As if the world is inhabitated by a super-race of Cleavers. . .

I think he was trying to simulate rain soaked streets in one of the photos. Great modeling.

That town's residents were convinced 50 years early: "No Dumping -- Drains to Ocean"

All done with a real cheap-o 6mp $75 Sony point and shoot as well....very impressive indeed....1/24th scale.
