Model Railroading > Not Model Railroading, But still Impressive ModelingDate: 02/03/10 10:21 Not Model Railroading, But still Impressive Modeling Author: NGotwalt I was sent this link in an email today, I was half way through the slide show before I realized I was looking at pictures of models.
Enjoy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/24796741@N05/sets/72157604247242338/show/with/2346008881/ Cheers, Nick Date: 02/03/10 10:33 Re: Not Model Railroading, But still Impressive Modelin Author: NSTopHat Nick;
That's pretty sweet! Looks like O scale? NSTopHat Date: 02/03/10 10:42 Re: Not Model Railroading, But still Impressive Modelin Author: mp_eagle I am so amazed that models could look that realistic. The depth of the photography and the use of actual landscape for the back drop really enhances the illusion. Excellent.

There is a coal train (1:1 scale) passing by in the background of one of the shots.

Thanks for sharing Erwin from Austria Date: 02/03/10 15:11 Re: Not Model Railroading, But still Impressive Modelin Author: toledopatch Very nice models, but the streets are unrealistically clean (as are the cars!), which is the giveaway that this is fiction....
Date: 02/03/10 23:04 Re: Not Model Railroading, But still Impressive Modelin Author: scottp Everyone must be inside watching the World Series (in the daytime shots) and Uncle Miltie at night. Or it's that Twilight Zone episode...

Like the set for a street scene on the Twilight Zone? Pretty amazing models, though. Date: 02/04/10 21:37 Re: Not Model Railroading, But still Impressive Modelin Author: jackpot toledopatch Wrote:

Dave, that's what I thought, too. The streets almost shine. No litter or dirt or leaves, etc., in the gutters at all. As if the world is inhabitated by a super-race of Cleavers. . . I think he was trying to simulate rain soaked streets in one of the photos. Great modeling.
