Gary Coleman

I was just reading something on Yahoo about Gary Coleman and here is one of the quotes.

'Gary and Shannon had hardly any furniture,' a source told the National Enquirer.

'Every dime that Gary made was spent on either medical bills or model trains.’

I wonder if he got any discounts for his medical bills just because he was famous? Probably not, and I, too, will suffer the same fate when age will make my body frail. I'm very happy he was able to spend the rest of his dime on what he enjoyed doing, and hearing how Gary was a cool presence around Colorado and SoCal hobby shops, that must have been a source of happiness away from the vultures who tried to capitalize on his fame.

Actually, they have been right on stories lately more often than not. Tiger Woods? Months ahead of the competition. How about John Edwards? None of the 'mainstream media" wanted to get near the story. Then they all started chasing National Inquirer's leads. . .

What about CNN? They were interviewing the Ex-Wife, she mentioned this in the interview.

I met Gary Coleman a couple of times. Once Allied Model Trains (the old Store Location.
Once at the one Hobby. That is to be on Victory Blvd. Just north of Olive Ave. I can't
remember that one store's name. And I also seen Gary Coleman at All aboard Model Railroad.
When it was in the Torrance Locationl

Gary seem to have real good knownledge about N Scale Locomotives and Cars. At that time.

From what I hear on the local radio shows the fight over the estate has a lot to do with his pension. Apparently there's a screen actors guild pension that's worth over a million bucks. I don't know the details but it's what they feel the center of the argument is.

Once he came into All Aboard in Torrance, and the woman who was with him spotted something on display which was related to a certain very large state of the USA. Her opinion was that a certain very powerful weapon should be used on that state, because a certain President came from there.
And I'll bet ya thought ya had to watch "The View" to hear opinions like that!

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the future wife/ex-wife... that was quite a few years ago, and I remember some tattoos. I didn't hear his response, if any.

Take two grains of salt, and gently rub them into an open wound, and call me in the morning!

Alas, Gary's life was full of difficult times and situations. Hopefully he can rest up there in the big roundhouse!

A local (Kansas City) radio station I listen to reported this morning that Shannon has sold "$15,000 to $20,000 worth of Gary's trains" without authority or permission from the executor or probate court. I don't recall them citing a source.
