Using remote switch in manual mode

Is there any reason that I cannot use remote switches and turnouts as manual devices?

Thanks for the validation, but was wondering if they will operate the same as a manual switch does without having to be modified.

They work just the same way, the lever can be moved by you manually or by the switch machine, the points don't care how it happens.
