Model Railroading > so is anyone going to do the 6 axle genset? in HO?

I admit I might have missed it, but just saw a pic of one on the Eastern board, TIA , Ed

Only 3 6 axles have been built (2-PHL & 1 NS) by NRE. There's been 210 NRE 4 axles. So doubt any model company will make them if more RRs don't buy 6 axles.

NS also has one built by Railpower. CSX is now getting at least one.

Andy, you surprise me, haven't heard about the 1300s at Hobart and San Berdoo?? There's at least 8 of them running around now...

Don't forget the UP six-axle RP20D gensets running around in hump service too.

The problem is.. while these gensets are all six-axle between all the different railroads (UP, NS, CSX, etc) they are all quite different in construction and origin than one another.
