The Original Fred Date: 04/27/11 17:38 Re: New Hobby Shop - Bellflower, CA Author: CSURAM Is that close to where old "Earl's" Hobby shop was on Bellflower? That was an interesting shop that closed years ago. The slot car track next door was kinda cool.

Bellflower - pop. 72,862 (2009) That is 3x the pop of Helena, the state capitol of Montana. I know, its Montana!! . . . Bellflower, CA is a suburb of Los Angeles County located roughly 14 miles SSE of the downtown district of Los Angeles. (brings back bad memories of playing "Simon Says") Date: 04/28/11 09:57 Re: New Hobby Shop - Bellflower, CA Author: wabash2800 Are you going to have live demonstrations of your sound products?

SpringRail event: http://tinyurl.com/3l6b77j Date: 04/28/11 13:29 Re: New Hobby Shop - Bellflower, CA Author: needles_sub Well this be a full MSRP price store? Well I need to collect rail bucks and redeem them later after spending a certain amount at the store? Well discounts be for the chosen few who endear themselves to the store owner with large purchases? Well what I spend at the store be considered discretionary income, and, in as much I don't need anything in the store to survive, you well feel the need to take all that from me? And well your employees be disinterested, aloof, and may be even rude, like some of the other stores in the area? Well you give away cheap, useless trinkets, that are worthless in a vain attempt to make me feel special and give the appearance that you care?
Sorry for the sarcasm, but after seeing what goes on at the other shops in the area, a new LHS just doesn't get me warm and fuzzy. Date: 04/28/11 13:54 Re: New Hobby Shop - Bellflower, CA Author: UPJeff Yes, we will have live demonstrations of various sound products at the store. We are in the process of building a small demo layout. Once that is done then yes.

Jeff Smith Lakewood, CA RailMaster Hobbies Date: 04/28/11 14:01 Re: New Hobby Shop - Bellflower, CA Author: UPJeff The grand opening is on Sunday because of the NMRA LA Division Spring Rail in Alhambra on Saturday. No sense in conflicting with a major event in the area. I figure all of the model railroaders in the LA area will be attending the Spring Rail event.
I am giving a clinic at the Spring Rail and hope to see all of you there. Jeff Smith Lakewood, CA RailMaster Hobbies Date: 05/01/11 21:06 Re: New Hobby Shop - Bellflower, CA Author: UPJeff Thanks to everyone that stopped by for the grand opening. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
