Model Railroading > Question: The pronunciation of "Magor"

Just today, I got a HO scale model, ExactRail's Magor 4750 cu.ft. covered hopper, PRR scheme.
And one question was had. How do you pronounce the "Magor?"
[mei-gar] or [ma-gor] or ...

"Mag" as in magazine. "or" as in or. Mag-or.

Its pronounced awe-some... awesome. But seriously I've always heard it as KG described.

From Edward Kaminski's book, The Magor Car Corporation, the mispronunciation of Magor was common even among those who are very familiar with the car builder. In the first chapter of his book, he dedicates a paragraph to this question, the pronunciation of 'Magor'. Although many will get it wrong, Kaminski claims that the correct pronunciation for Magor is MAY-gor.
