Intermountain Railway Co SD40-2W
Author: kdrtrains

Greetings All and Merry Christmas

I just took delivery of a new Canadian National SD40-2W in HO(non sound)from Intermountain Railway as a Christmas present from my wife (how did she know?)and although I have only had a chance to inspect and program it, it looks as it a very nice model. I really like the idea that the decoder is all ready installed and all I have to do is some weathering. It will look very good mixed into a Santa Fe blue and yellow or a BN green consist. After Christmas, I will post some photos as she just wrapped it up.

Now I would very much like to see Intermountain or any manufacturer produce an SD50F or SD60F. The rest of you can tell Santa what you would like to have produced.

Thanks Intermountain for another great model.

I will second the nice GP50, a high quality SW-1, C-415, Baldwin DT66-2000 or Whitcomb switcher.

I'd go for an Athearn Genesis GP38-2 and GP40-2.

If I had to go with a cowl I'd pick the HR616 with sound.

Yes please, in Phase II, but I would take either to be honest.

Yep, I am talking about a SD90mac H. I would go alone with that, would be nice, But what about a CP Rail SD40-2f with sound too.. Now that would be something..Cheers Brian in New Zealand..

YES
An SD40-2F would be great. Any of these cowl units would be a welcome addition.

Some of these were offered as shells from Kaslo shops, did anybody get any built up and painted?

Well ok, mine are still in the box but the thought was there.
