Model Railroading > Help - Coupler mounting screw Proto locosDate: 01/29/12 06:17 Help - Coupler mounting screw Proto locos Author: va3cp I have a friend who is not local to a hobby show who is looking for replacement coupler box screws for a Proto locomotive.
Can anyone confirm whether the coupler box mounting screws on a Proto S3 (or SW800) are #2-56 screws? I believe they are but there is a possibility that they may be metric. Once I get the proper size, I will mail him what he needs. Thanks. Dave Burroughs Hamilton, ON Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/29/12 18:06 by va3cp. Somebody out there must have a Proto switcher of some sort. The frames are all similar. I am in On3 scale so no Proto locos here. Thanks to anyone who is willing to look at the underside of their loco. I will send him some 2-56 screws and that should do the job. Appreciate the reply. For a while there, I thought I was not going to get an answer. Cheers... Dave Burroughs Hamilton, ON |
