Hydrocal Plaster
Author: 4400horsepower

For all you folks who were looking for Hydrocal Plaster a couple of days ago, there is a place in Penn. that sells it again on ebay. Go to Hydrocal for the headline, scrowl down to the Hydrocal Gypsum Cement, (It is in a brown box, comes shipping free, 40 lbs. for $39.00, also there are auctions for 25 lbs. starting at $9.99) I have used this with GREAT results, very strong when sit up. I have built many mountains out of this. The manufacturing name is Robert Forrester Company.

Good to know. The shipping is usually very high.

Even when you get it on a bid from ebay, shipping is only $10.50 for 25 lbs. I've seen him have 25 lb. boxes on a buy-it-now also, free shipping. Good stuff guys, have used probably 200 lbs. of this.

Most building supply houses for contractors will carry this in 100lb bags for less then $20.00 here in California.

Agreed, but I don't need that much as just build bridge abutment, piers, etc., from time to time. And the smaller quantities come in a plastic tub that has a longer shelf life than an opened bag.

Have you tried "Ultracal 30" for bridge piers, abutments, etc..... it is stronger and shrinks less when dry
