numbering for el capitan
Author: TaylorUPBNSF

Hello everyone, one of my fellow club members has received some of his new Walthers El Capitan cars. He is concerned about adding the numbering and dulling down the "plated" finish if he were to use dullcote. Has anybody had any success in applying numbers to the car without affecting the finish?

For mine, I intend on masking around the number "plate," and applying a thin coat of Future both before and after the decals are applied. In theory, that SHOULD seal the decals without dulling the finish.

I have done several with the Future method and it works perfectly....use it before and after, "encapsulating" the numbers.
