I'm starting this Swift Meat Packing plant...this is my first venture into non styrene modeling.
Anyone have any advice, so I don't screw this up?

I have one of these in sstorage built by my Dad about 40 years ago (when it was made by Suydam). You might want to be sure that there is some inside bracing (if not included in the kit) to make sure the walls do not warp over time.

I built, and still have, the Sunkist packing house. It's held up very well over the last 15 years. Tom is right, you need to add inside bracing, as well as corner bracing where the walls go together. Otherwise, the building should outlast you.

I have done 3 of them now. My first one was in the early 70's and the first looks as good as this last one. Bracing is the thing to do.

Its a nice kit. I have one from a decade or two ago.

One good idea I found was to overlay the corner columns with brass or styrene angle stock to make it stronger and look better - no visible joint.

The Bekins warehouse is also very nice.
