Looking for some help as to as anybody put an aftermarket decoder in Kato HO bi-level cab car. What decoder did you use and was the installation simple. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Depending on what you want the decoder to do:

Control interior lights on/off KA-29-353 FR11 (Kato)

Cab Control lights white front/red read (fwd/rev) KA-29-352 FL12 (Kato)

Or something else?

I put a sound decoder in a cab car. It works great but it was so long ago that I don't remember if I had to do anything special.
