Model Railroading > Plastic RoadbedDate: 11/16/12 19:36 Plastic Roadbed Author: wjpyper I was reading the November, 2012 issue of Classic Toy Trains, and noticed in an article about MTH trains the claim that MTH was the first to offer O-gauge track with plastic road bed. I have in my possession a complete set of Marx track, including 2-switches, a 90 degree crossover and an operating track section. I bought this stuff at a swap meet, and I don't know how old it is, but it's got to be from the late 40's or early 50's. Does anyone out there ever seen or own any of this track? I'd like to know exactly how old it is.
