You know SP, PENNSY, ATSF warbonnet, UP, BN and Santa Claus would sell if Bowser made them. How many did Tyco try? Posted from Windows Phone OS 7 Date: 12/06/12 14:58 Re: Bowser officially announces HO C430 Author: Splitrock323 Shut up and take my money!
Guess I better hope for a Christmas bonus. Thomas G. Date: 12/06/12 15:10 Re: Bowser officially announces HO C430 Author: zephyrus Wow. Yeah, they didn't miss much. Should have included cancelled orders and done a Rock Island version.

How > many did Tyco try? > > Posted from Windows Phone OS 7 TYCO introduced its C430 when the prototype was being built back in 1966. Here's the 1960s Red Box Era TYCO C430 examples... http://www.ho-scaletrains.net/locomotives/id5.html And Brown Box Era TYCO C430 models from the early 1970s into the early 1990s... http://www.ho-scaletrains.net/tycobrownboxdiesels/id8.html TYCO stayed well away from any prototypes. Nearest TYCO C430 to being legit would be Penn Central, but TYCO offered it in Jade Green with red "PC"...avoiding the more accurate basic PC black. Gawd, those Tycos were crude, and they sure had a fascination with road number 4301! After seeing that number on so many engines, I was a bit surprised to see they actually numbered the Bicentennial unit as 1776. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/06/12 20:51 by toledopatch. Makes you wonder if there'd be a few more C430s left today. I'd buy a Bowser IF they got the cab and handrails correct. |
