A future Dunsmuir coming to Redding California
Author: photobob

You have to start somewhere in this case it is the Dunsmuir Turntable. A friend of mine is about to start a major layout construction project. He is building an HO layout depicting the SP running from just south of Dunsmuir to just past Black Butte. The first spike has yet to be driven but if the turntable is a sample of what the modeling will be like it should be an exciting operation. He will be modeling both the late steam and first and second generation diesel era. He constructed the building to house the layout which is located in the rear of his home. I will keep everyone informed of the progress on this project.

Appears better stocked than most hobby shops I've been to lately.

What is the fluorescent lighting you are using in that layout room? I have to do a change over and am looking for ideas. Thanks!

Tunnel motors and cab forwards at the Dunsmuir turntable...sweet!

Is that some PhotoBob reference material on the shelf?

Looks like you guys had a fun weekend down the hill.

Well if he plans to run Cab Forwards e is going to need at least a 48" radius curves, sure you can get by with smaller ones but 'Bigger ' is best.

I would have to just think about it, since I wouldn't be able to see it very well.
