Model Railroading > Woodland Scenics Realistic Water

Just looking for opinions on the Woodland Scenics Realistic Water. In the past I used Envirotex.

It's more expensive, In my opinion, for the amount you get, but it is super easy to use and looks pretty good for flat to "slow wave" water...If you wanted actual waves, you'd probably want to do the old matte medium and a stipple brush method

We tried the earlier version of the Woodland Scenics product and it worked, but we still looked around at some alternatives.

Magic Water is our go-to model railroad water material. It sets perfectly flat. can be tinted and applied in layers to simulate water depth or varying clarity. We add matte medium on top and stipple it with a brush to add ripple and other moving-water details later. Works great every time.
