Dymanic brake housings

I am looking for blue box Dynamic brake housings for bluebox SD40-2's. Or DB's that will fit. I have been through Ebay, aboose hobbies, MBklien, toytrainheaven with no luck. Anybody know where I might find them

If regular, I've got you covered.

All of Athearn's older ones are extended range but some are Q package equipped with an exhaust silencer, the raised bit around the turbo stack. This is modeled by the large bulge by the exhaust opening. Extended range can be determined by the small access doors near the front of the blister part.

The Q equipped DB hatches are much less accurate than the regular ones. Everything shifted back a little and the blister's taper at the rear is very sharp. Athearn just added the bulge to the front end of the blister and Q style exhaust. Also, some Q equipped locomotives have the turbo opening toward the front of the raised part and others toward the rear.

In my post below, http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?3,3383754 the extended range access door would be above the A in GATX. The door above the G is normally there. If better photos are needed look at Don Strack's site here:

Here are two locos with extended range dynamics, not Q equipped

Here is a extended range, Q equipped loco:

Have you tried Athearn directly? You also may want to try PF&S near Pasco, WA.

Athearn doesn't carry blue box. To match the other SD40-2's I have I will need the extended range.
