I've added a scratched brake stand and platform to the car, along with the retaining valve. I made the channel for the stand, because there's no fine available. I doubled the thickness of the brake stand by soldering two pieces together with silver bearing solder. With the plumbing of the retaining valve, the plumbing is done.

Excellent work Bobby!

Do you have a shot from the other side before you attached it to the hopper?

What did you use for the grating?

Thanks

A photo looking at the front on the brake wheel assemble, before you put it on the car.

Thanks Tom for straightening
Me out. No I don't have a photo. It has a scratched Peacock gear box. The grating is Plano I cut from the Walthers LPG tank car replacement walk. I've always double the walk because it looks better to me. I have a photo of the gear box with one of the photos of my six axle whale belly tank car.

Bobby,

Very nice work starting to get my motivation up to tackle my fleet.

Then again perhaps I will thru the weekend with all your work someone will probably announce one at the NMRA convention.
Or at least that's how it works out for me usually.

I grew up in the 70's / 80's when superdetailing was legend. I remember scratchbuilding louvers to convert an Athearn GP-7 to a GP-9. Yep, lots of tedious work. (nevermind the scale width hood issue)

Bob, you did well.

Bobby, how did you layout and bend all that intricate piping? Good tip on doubling up the etch metal walkways, they always looked too thin to me.

I had some great detail photos that I got off of the Rustbucket forum. I also use the1980 CLC
as it has a plumbing diagram for twin air tanks. Bending is just something that I like doing.

Thank you, Bobby
