Railroad Model Craftman lives on under WRP
Author: Mgoldman

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUGUST 29, 2014

White River Productions Acquires
Railroad Model Craftsman and
Railfan & Railroad magazines from
Carstens Publications

http://www.modelrailroadnews.com/PDF/WRP-Press_Release_140829.pdf

Subscribers will be pleased to know existing sub-
scriptions are to be honored and fulfilled by the new
ownership. Fulfillment will be based on the number
of remaining issues in existing subscriptions. Due to
the need to get the magazines’ cover dates current, a
combined issue scenario will likely be employed, but
the number of issues owed to each subscriber will be
adjusted accordingly. “If you have six issues left on
your subscription, you will receive six issues,” EuDaly
said.

This is NOT good news. THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!! Kevin EuDaly is one of the PREMIER professional publishers left in our hobby. Part of the KC Mafia of train foamers, I am PROUD to know him and his family. He is the Tom Marsh of railroad publishing in my opinion and I for one MIGHT just go over and subscribe to BOTH magazines. Kevin, if you are reading this, I could not be happier that you have bought these 2 fine publications. If you do to these magazines what you have done for all the rest of your publications, subscribers are INDEED in for a treat. Best of luck in your latest endeavor. Now, if you would just restart "Mainline Modeler"......

I'd like the content in RMC be closer in line with what Mainline Modeler was. I think WRP could do that and I wouldn't mind doing some articles. But I suppose they'll know best how to position it.

Agreed. That's why I am so excited about this. It a win/win for everybody. Nothing like competition to keep everybody sharp. I can hardly wait for their first issue.
