Cow/Calf combination(HO)

Are there any manufacturers making Cow/Calf switcher units for HO?
I haven't seen any but that doesn't mean they ain't out there..
And the calf doesn't have to be powered to make me happy, but prefer
DCC and sound...

Athearn did with its SW7 some years ago. Or was that Revell?

It was Athearn, but the calf needed some kit-bashing to make it look reasonably correct, mainly with the rear steps, rear platform and rear frame bulkhead.

Here's the Athearn calf...no kitbashing, just the handrails installed and painted (the white should probably be yellow but...oh well).

Cow/Calf sets are pretty cool. Has anyone created a set out of Kato NW2's or Proto SW's?

A lot of work to fill in the rear stepwells and to redo the handrails.

I have an older cow and calf from athearn cow unit needs some engine work and calf unpowered but only dc
