Model Railroading > American Trains in Schlanders, South Tirol, Italy

Hi All,

In the German language countries were 3 USA model railroading exhibitions. The Swiss exhibition in Adliswil seems canceled for ever. The 2 remaining in Schlanders/Silandro in South Tirol, Italy and Rodgau near Frankfurt, Germany will be held alternating all 2 years.

This Year was Schlanders. It presented a lot of layouts and models and few sellers.
Our Salzburg, Austria, round table was visiting Schlanders and one of our participants Ernst and his wife Johanna demonstrated their San Juan Mountain RR.

We had thoughts because of the weather but all was fine, crossing the Alps twice that day...

I always think it is neat how much people from outside North America like modeling North America. It is also great to see how good things come out when you can't readily go out to look at stuff to compare what you remember to what you want to put down in model form. I really like the city scenes too. I've seen that guy getting the crap beat out of him a few times depending on what bus route I'm driving in my own city.
