Model Railroading > Athearn Impack cars with Railpower container braces

I picked up some Railpower Products container braces for the Athearn Impack cars many years ago. Were some or all of the prototype Impack cars modified to carry containers with braces such as these at some point in their service lives? Any information on this would be great. If so it would add some interesting variety to my intermodal trains.

No Impack cars were converted to TOFC/COFC or COFC only. There was a one-off COFC conversion by Santa Fe of one of their home-built Fuel Foiler cars, ATSF 298998. There were alo some three-unit BN ex-KWTX all-purpose spine cars with one fixed and one movable pedestal per unit. At best the Railpower part should be considered a fantasy piece.

I thought I've read that some of the Impack spine cars were indeed converted to carry containers as well as trailers later in life. I'm talking Impack cars, not the earlier ATSF Fuel Foilers, which were IIRC limited to Santa Fe rails.
