Model Railroading > Paasche H Series Airbrush QuestionDate: 05/26/15 08:53 Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: CCT41 does anyone know what size and pitch the needle set screw is on the Paasche H series air brush? I lost mine, and a replacement is not to be found in stock here in Sacramento.
Thanks, John Date: 05/26/15 09:01 Re: Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: brfriedm I have an H.
Is this what your referring to? http://www.paascheairbrush.com/products/airbrushes-airbrush-parts-and-accessories/airbrush-parts/other-parts/h-153 I buy all my parts from Paache's website direct. I need the set screw today, not next week. That is why I am trying to determine the size.

Date: 05/26/15 09:15 Re: Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: JimBaker Might I suggest taking the airbrsh to a Jeweler/Watchmaker.
They have many screws that they could try to match for you. --Jim Baker Date: 05/26/15 09:16 Re: Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: sandmanre Why not take the airbrush with you to a hardware store and try several until you get the right size. I've done stuff like that before and get a couple of extra while you're at it.
Ron Evans Golden Valley, AZ Date: 05/26/15 09:21 Re: Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: imrl Yes, take the airbrush to a local, well stocked hardware store. To get by today, you don't need a set screw, just some sort of screw that will thread through the hole and not bottom out. Any screw of the right size should work. Then order a factory replacement today to get the right part on hand.
Edited to to add that #8-32 seems to work on mine. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/26/15 09:26 by imrl. Date: 05/26/15 10:39 Re: Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: kdrtrains Since the Paasche is made in America, I beleive the set screw will be 2/56. I have replaced mine several times due to the allen head wearing out. Paasche charges $4.95 for this very little set screw and any hobby shop or hardware store that has a nut and bolt room will have them VERY cheap.

Posted from iPhone Date: 05/26/15 14:54 Re: Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: fbe Most hardware stores carry nothing smaller than 4-40. You might find a 2-56 if you're lucky. A good hobby shop will have the Walther's assortment including 2-56, 1-72, 0-80 and 00-90.
An R/C hobby shop will have small size metric screws if needed. Posted from Windows Phone OS 7 Date: 05/26/15 16:44 Re: Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: Frisco1522 I think it's bigger than a 2-56. I was thinking 4-40.
Date: 05/26/15 17:13 Re: Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: sandmanre I checked my Paasche H and removed the screw to check it out. Definitely bigger than 4-40, probably a 6-32. I couldn't find my thread gauge, but I did have a 4-40 tap and it was bigger than that.
Ron Evans Golden Valley, AZ Date: 05/26/15 17:28 Re: Paasche H Series Airbrush Question Author: kdrtrains Yep I was wrong. Both my H models are 6/32s. They are both over 20 years old and used extensively.
