The size I used (at least for most diesels) is 0603 (6mm X 3mm or 0.024 in × 0.012 in). If your headlight opening is larger you can use something that fits off the chart I've included. There is a pretty good discussion of Surface Mount Packaging located in the Wikipedia. Another good source of Surface Mount Technology LED's is Digi-Key Electronics. best regards, Mark G.
