The Bachmann is I am pretty sure a PRR prototype, don't know about the AHM/IHC cars.

The prototype for the original AHM heavyweight was a Santa Fe cafe-observation.

The Walthers model has a narrow (6' nominal) upper deck (clerestory). It's accurate for cars built new to Plan 3959. The CRYSTAL and GOLDEN cars were built to Plans 3959-A and 3959-B and had wide (7'-6" nominal) upper decks. Walthers' solarium and parlor car models have wide upper decks.
