I've always admired John's Indio station & setting. Your photos captured it all nicely! As for remembering the era, I used to... I think... What were we talking about, again?

I always love seeing pics from John's layout.  The detailing, weathering, and high-quality modeling are really something to which I aspire, and all are highlighted by really outstanding photography from both you and Bob Morris.  Well done!  Thanks to you both for sharing your visit with us.

What was the purpose of the upstairs section of the Indio depot.?

The upstairs was used as a "clubhouse" for operating crews layover accodations.  $1.50 a night in the mid 60s.   Bathroom down the hall and plenty of cockroaches at no extra cost.
