Model Railroading > eBay Pic O' the Day, VI: Buy two and get egg rolls?

I could swear that, when I worked for Bill's Train Station in San Jose 45 years ago, we tried selling these cabooses, with no takers.

Anyway, my limited retail experience from back then tells me that a self-evident part of selling "rare" items is that you're shooting yourself in the foot by offering four of 'em at a time.

Since collecting is an unfathomable mystery to me, I have to ask what these cabooses are actually worth to you collectors... maybe twenty bucks a pop?

Yep, that is a typo. Seller thought he had deleted a price and put a new one behind it instead of in place of it.

Who knows, maybe there is someone out there in desperate need of at least one of them;-)

When I went to Camden High school 79-80 I would sometimes go to Bills and he was nice enough to let me clean the rails on the in store layout.

My Father bought me my 1st train set there.

For some unknown reason, us modlers dont know how old things posted on ebay are, they seem to thing Vintage adds some kind of value to it. When posted as the first word to read is very irritating.

The product number tells me it is even newer early to mid 80s version. Post war pre war cabooses dont even go for that much.
