Texas sized module hauler
Author: WrongWayMurphy

We had our Tyler (TX) Cotton Belt Train Show this weekend and one of the modular
groups that came and set up was the always great and highly detailed ArkLaTex Club.

Here is the rig they bring their modules in, and a typical cradle hauled in the trailer.

Theirs is an HO club, by the way.

Here is an example of the ArkLaTex's work.

They run mostly SP and KCS trains, typical of East Texas and western Louisiana.

In addition to quality modeling, they are a great bunch of guys.

In photo #6, the ground level has a really sharp curve. I wonder what they can run over it?

It is not a powered track, just added for the urban effect.

OK, here's a wild idea. Would it be possible to build a modular layout ( a BIG one...) inside COFC containers, and then position the containers next to each other for a show?   if you're going to go to the bother of having a truck haul you around, why not go for a really big layout?

One of 15 or so rolling cradles that hold 3 modules each and
fit in slots in the trailer.  The one shown is typical of the whole lot.
