They are just completed and ready to ship from Korea in a week or so. When first announced, they were listing the 2313 (W&P) as the third item. What happened to this offering??? Rob Date: 05/17/16 01:12 Re: What excites you of the upcoming releases? Author: rrhistorian The chop nosed GP-7 with rear extension for a HEP generator in the last C&NW paint scheme (that at least one wore until retired around 2000).
Athearn seems to have briefly listed and withdrawn this paint scheme in favor of the same model painted in a 1970's scheme. Date: 05/17/16 05:49 Re: What excites you of the upcoming releases? Author: binder001 1) Athearn's early UP Challenger. On one hand I am notr excited about another "big" UP loco (we REALLY need a good UP 2-8-2!) , but if they are going to keep making them this one is different and it also belongs in my Nebraska 1956 scenario. So, yes, I'm excited about getting one.
2) The Scaletrains.com GTEL. Again I have mixed feelings in that it doesn't fit the eras that I model, but it's a UP turbine! So I have one on pre-order 3) I'll be interested to see the Intermountain late GEVOs and Dash 9s. I hope their C44-9W is a later version (everybody else has the early version) with a BNSF cab. Despite the motor problems I like their ES44ACs and would mind adding a "Tier 4" to the mix. 4) I'm excited about getting a Tangent Airslide buffer car from the next run as I missed the first ones. So, several new releases get me fired up. Still looking forward to "someday" when we get a CB&Q O5B 4-8-4, or some UP 34' ballast cars (in Tangent quality) or a "Harriman" 2-8-0 Gary B.
