HO Overland - screw sizes?
Author: JUTower

Hi all,
I need to get some replacement screws for an HO Overland brass SD38-MT6 slug set that I am currently painting, wiring, and weathering.  The screws for the coupler pockets are definitely narrower in diameter than 2-56; do you know if they are metric or perhaps a 1-size screw?
I suppose I could order a couple screw assortments and do it by trial and error...

Thanks,
-Alex

Call Bill Davis @ American O Scale. He will have the exact screws. 262-560-1619

ALex--we expect to see these beauties once you have completed them--Any proper Conrail layout needs a "mother and a blue twinkie" in the yards burbling away!
Incidentally, my first day as a trainee engineer was on the 6936/6933 humpers at Big Four yard in Avon (Indianapolis).

I know you got your answer, but perhaps you can verify for me...I think they are M4 screws.

NWSL continues a great selection of metric screws and nots in a variety of diameters, lengths and head styles. They are available direct of thru Walthers.

My LHS doesn't carry 1.4mm by 6mm screws. And until now, I wouldn't have known that's the size I need (so thanks! :)
