HO TEBU by Cutting Edge Scale Models
Author: RyanWilkerson

A follow up from CESM about their new TEBU. For some history about Southern Pacific's TEBUs, here's a link: http://espee.railfan.net/sptebu.html

"The TEBU kit is now available from our site. It isn't a pre-order, but we will be shipping the kits in October or November. I originally forecasted $125 a kit, but we are selling them for $94.99 a kit. Please make your order this weekend to make sure you get your kit, as this production is limited to only 25 units. They will sell out fast."

This looks clear and crisp in the cad drawings, if the item is not as described can we return it also is it is done with a cheap 3D printer it will not be smooth, also cheap 3D printer plastic makes it hard for paint to stick. I will buy and I think more would too if you would give I little more details of the quality about your product.

I'll send your comments to CESM and post the response.
I have the N scale version and it looks good. That was 18 months ago and 3D printing quality has improved since then. I don't want to guess at the manufacturing method, I'll get it from CESM.

If you click on the link they provided it says in the description it is a RESIN shell.

Looks nice, but $90 for a plastic shell?!?

No frame, trucks, or handrails?

It's a niche locomotive and considering the many hours of 3D design and printing, seems reasonable to me. I'm an N scaler so getting this locomotive in plastic or brass wasn't even a possibility so I'm grateful to have a custom 3D printed version.
The donor locomotive (Atlas U23B I believe) would provide the frame and trucks. Aren't metal handrails in HO readily available?
