I think the last Walthers catelog I bought was the 1999 edition. I imagine its really changed.

So they have combined three scales in one catalog now? What does that tell us? Could the "reference catalog" be mostly online now?

Well, they do tell you to check on-line for the latest "in stock" status. And don't most people order from Walthers on-line now?

Me?  I can count how many times I ordered from Walthers direct on one or two fingers.  In general I find better prices from other sources so I would think most people do not order from Walthers online, at least "average Joe" customers.

I use the Walthers' catalog as a reference, i.e. what is available to support a particular project.  I order through my local guy (very good dealer) or use the info to search eBay or online stores.  If nothing else it's fun to look through and daydream, so I get my money's worth out of the catalog.

I use the catalog as a reference too, particularly for scratchbuilding supplies and detail parts. And, IMO, it's much easier to find items in the catalog than with the search engine on the site. But I order through my local hobby shop as I get free shipping, and I like to have an excuse to make a trip to the hobby shop. They also buy my books wholesale from me. :)

A large number of items - especially ones labaled "NEW" seem to have no pricing.....talk about hedging your bets....
