Model Railroading > BLI announces NP & SP&S 4-8-4's

I always wanted a model of the SP&S #700, and Broadway just announced they will produce NP A-3's and SP&S E-1's. It won't be cheap at $700, but it will be worth it!

Now they should do a re-run of the GS-4

Also doing an ATSF 4000-class 2-8-2.

They cannot do the rerun of the GS-4.  The mould was cracked, they would have to retool.  I for one wish they would as I want a AFT version.

Hands down, my opinion is the NP had the nicest steam locos in the history of steam locomotion.  It is fantastic that W&R felt that way too but to get a W&R A-3 in this day and age is in the $2k-$3k range.  This announcement from BLI has my attention.  Do they offer non-sound?

Interesting pricing concept to sell a model of SP & S 700 for $700.  Maybe they could produce a model of the Milwaukee Road Hiawatha 4-4-2 #1 and sell it for $1.00.  :)

 

I must have missed their announcement of the C&O Greenbrier 4-8-4. Rode this engine back in 1997 from Hoboken to Port Jervis at 79mph...what an engine!

Fox Valley makes an excellent model of the MILW Rd 4-4-2 streamlined 1-5 Atlantics. Way over the $1.00 price you suggested but less than half of that $700 4-8-4 retail.
