Handy Chart
Author: funnelfan

I hate running to my computer each time I need to know the drill size for a tap or clearance hole for various screws. So I'm printing out this handy chart below and taping it to the side of my desk.

Thanks! I've been looking for a chart like this.

Thanks Ted. I too grew tired of running to my computer or getting out my calculator whenever I needed to figure out the NMRA car weight spec. (required by the Napa Model RR Club). So I created a simple MS Excel spreadsheet showing me the weights in 1/4oz increments and have included it here.

If you'd like to get this file PM me, I have it in .xls, .xlsx or .pdf formats.

Many thanks for the car weight chart. I have also seen this presented as a graph, but the table is more accurate.

I have a cheap spring scale I use for weighing cars, on the back I wrote the weight needed for cars of certain lengths in 5' increments (35', 40', 45', 50', 55'.....). Makes it really handy.
